Stoughton Man Arrested for Alleged Home Break-ins Around Mansfield

A weekly report on crime in the Mount Vernon District

A Stoughton man was arrested in Mansfield March 19, and faces multiple charges following a number of alleged break-ins around that town. 

While on patrol around Old North Trail and Mayflower Dr. in Mansfield, officer Thomas Connor noticed a male on Donegal Way shortly after 9 a.m. on March 19. Observing the male, Connor called for backup.

Later, officer Richard Hopkins reported one witness who observed the male walking around the neighborhood in a suspicious manner. 

The male was identified as Ryan Wilson, 24, of Kinney Ct., Stoughton. Wilson was wanted on an outstanding warrant for allegedly breaking in to houses in the area and was soon found and arrested.

Wilson was charged with three counts of breaking and entering a building in the daytime for a felony; three counts of malicious destruction of property over $50; two counts of larceny over $250; and one count of possession of a burglarious instrument.
