Stoughton Obituary: Albena Tripp, 93

Iowa's Ruth Anderson, a nationally known civil rights leader, died at her home in Waterloo Tuesday.

The following is from the Farley Funeral Home website

Albena M. (Dervinis) Tripp, 93, died Monday, March 25, 2013 at the West Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brockton with her son Paul by her side. She was the wife of the late Russell B. Tripp.

Born in South Boston, she was a lifelong resident of Stoughton and a graduate of Stoughton Schools. She was a homemaker.

A lover of cats, in her free time, she enjoyed gardening, reading, talking politics, playing whist and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Rodman R. Tripp of Pennsylvania, Cynthia A. Huckaby of New Hampshire, Candice T. Rowe, Christina B. Wauhob and Peter A. Tripp all of Avon and David P.Tripp and Paul D. Tripp both of Stoughton.

She was predeceased by six brothers and sisters. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) in Stoughton on Thursday, March 28 at 10 a.m. Visiting Hours Wednesday, March 27 from 4-8 p.m. Interment will take place at Nemasket Hill Cemetery in Middleboro.
