Stoughton Murder Suspect Charged with Killing Ex-Wife
The man arrested for killing his estranged wife in her Stoughton home was arraigned in Stoughton District Court Monday afternoon, charged with murder.
Willie Foster, 47, of Dorchester, was taken into custody by Boston Police Monday morning in Mattapan. He is charged with killing Anita Clark, 46, who was found dead at her 76 Glen Echo Blvd. home in Stoughton Saturday evening.
Foster, who appeared in court wearing a Boston Red Sox pullover, pled not guilty to the murder charge.
Clark died after suffering multiple stab wounds - more than 20 in total, according to the autopsy, Lynn Beland, Assistant District Attorney for the office of Norfolk County District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey, said.

Whiplash in Stoughton Has Entertainment License Revoked, Liquor License Suspended
In the wake of the early morning shooting which took place outside Whiplash nightclub on Wyman St. in Stoughton April 21, Police Chief Paul Shastany and Executive Officer (now Deputy Chief) Robert Devine appeared before selectmen April 23 and recommended selectmen take "aggressive" and "bold" action against the club's licenses.
At a hearing May 8 in the Great Hall of the Stoughton Town Hall, selectmen did just that.
Selectmen voted to revoke Whiplash's entertainment license; suspend its alcohol license for 30 days (commencing June 1); and to modify the liquor license to impose a closing time of 11 p.m. (instead of the current 1 a.m.).

National Weather Service Confirms Stoughton Tornado
Preliminary storm survey results issued by the National Weather Service on Friday morning indicate that yes, a weak tornado did in fact hit Stoughton Thursday afternoon, May 9.
The tornado had a brief touch down and caused damage at the Bay State Pre-Owned Ford dealership at 1776 Washington St. (Route 138) and brought down a couple of trees - one on Dean Road and one on Erica Drive. Both of these streets are located in a neighborhood located behind the Ford dealership.

After Townwide Cleanup Vandals Deface Stoughton Park
The day after the April 28 Pride of Stoughton cleanup, where volunteers spent hours cleaning up various Stoughton locations, including the CAPP/Halloran area, backboards at the Halloran Park basketball courts were covered in graffiti and a large amount of garbage was found tossed on the ground.

Stoughton's Bela Santos was pleasantly surprised with her recent third place win in WBFF (World Beauty & Fitness Federation) Masters Fitness Diva round, which took place at the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, CT.
She tells About Town, "It was my first time competing in this organization next to so many amazingly beautiful and fit women. It was a shock! I'm hoping to come back with a better package and get my BIG WIN in June at the WBFF Boston Championship!"

The junior captain of the Stoughton High swim team has, on top of breaking a vast amount of records, won MVP for his team his first three high seasons and is a Hockomock All-Star for the past two years.

Stoughton High Boys' Track Wins Division Title
The Stoughton High boys' track team clinched the Hockomock League Davenport Division title and completed an undefeated dual meet season (5-0) with its win over Canton, 108-28, on Tuesday.

Back-to-back Walk-Off Wins for Stoughton High Baseball
The bottom of the seventh has treated Stoughton well the last two games.
For the second game in a row the Stoughton High baseball team (8-6) won on a walk-off hit, this time defeating Foxborough 4-3 on a rainy Wednesday afternoon in Stoughton.
After senior captain Pat Jackman had the game-winning hit in a walk-off win Monday against Sharon, he had the game-tying hit against Foxborough on Wednesday, and then came around to score the game-winning run against the Warriors when Jovani Pires bunted him home.
