1. Stoughton High Hosting College Financial Aid Night
Stoughton High School will be hosting a financial aid night sponsored by MEFA, the Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority, Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. in the SHS Auditorium.
SHS seniors are strongly encouraged to have at least one member of their family attend this event. Junior parents who would like to get a jump start on the college financial aid process are also welcome to attend, SHS Guidance Director Barbara Regan said.

2. Winter Parking Ban
As of Dec. 1, parking on the streets is prohibited between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m., according to the Stoughton Police Department's Facebook page.
The overnight parking ban lasts until April 1, 2013.
There is a $15 fine for violating the winter parking ban and the vehicle is subject to be towed at the owner's expense.
3. Firefighters Sending Care Packages to Stoughton Residents in the Military
Stoughton Firefighters Jim Rush and Jim Brackett, co-chairs of the Harry Landman Committee, are sending a Christmas care package to any Stoughton resident in the military who is currently away from home.
The servicemembers are sent a package containing candy, cookies, toiletries and DVD's. Anyone who would like to submit a servicemember's name can do so in writing by Wednesday, Dec. 5 at the Freeman Street Fire Station and Rush and Brackett will make sure these servicemembers receive a package on behalf of all the residents thanking them for their service.
4. Looking Ahead: Party All Night Long Fundraiser
Party All Night Long's first fundraiser this school year is being held on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012. The Chateau Restaurant (formerly Nocera's) will be donating 20% of the food and beverage proceeds from dine-in and take-out customers who present a coupon (coupon posted in the media gallery).
PANL is an annual all-night graduation party for the Stoughton High graduating class, which takes place following graduation. The party is alcohol-free and provides a fun, yet safe venue for the graduates to celebrate.
5. Stoughton Farmers Market Survey
After running a successful preview event in October at Trackside Plaza, the Stoughton Farmers Market Committee has put together a survey to get some user feedback as it prepares to organize weekly markets Saturday mornings from June to October.
