Stoughton basketball fans will have a chance to see former Black Knight standout Dartaye Ruffin play on TV Saturday night.
Ruffin and his Drexel University teammates will be hosting Davidson in a 8 p.m. game on the NBC Sports Network.
A 6-8, 250-pound junior forward, Ruffin has moved into a starting position for the Dragons after being the first big man off the bench as sophomore.
Ruffin has started all 10 games as Drexel has gotten off to a 3-7 start. He is averaging 8.9 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.
In their most recent game, the Dragons lost to Fairfield, 69-58, in Bridgeport, Conn. on Dec. 16. Ruffin had 10 points in the loss. He scored a season-high 15 points vs. Penn on Nov. 17.
After starring at Stoughton High, where he was the Hockomock League MVP as a junior, Ruffin spent a year at New Hampton Prep before going to Drexel.
As a sophomore at Drexel last season, Ruffin had 5.6 points per game and 4.9 rebounds. In his freshman season, 2010-2011, he was named to the Colonial Athletic Association's all-rookie team with a 7.4 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.
Ruffin is majoring in communications.
