DEMOCRATS TO CELEBRATE OBAMA INAUGURATION: The Stoughton Democratic Town Committee, together with the Democratic Town Committees of Sharon, Canton and Easton, will be gathering at the Suffolk Grille, 2790 Washington Street in Canton (on Rt. 138) at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, January 21, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, which is also the date of President Barack Obama's second inaugural.

The President will be sworn in for a second term on January 20, but where it falls on a Sunday this year, the public inaugural will be held the following day, on the 21st.

Stoughton Democratic Town Committee Co-Chair John Kavin tells About Town, "There is no admission charge and people can order off the menu what they wish. Anyone who wants to celebrate is invited, even a Republican can join us.  It's a public restaurant."

Kavin says it's an informal get together for those looking to celebrate the re-election of President Barack Obama and Vice President Joseph Biden.

Kavin adds, "We'll also celebrate the Democratic successes of the past year with lunch, viewing the inauguration on wide screen TV's, and with great conversation. A wide selection of appetizers and lunch choices are available to purchase. There will be a cash bar, as well. We hope to see your readers there.  Feel free to bring a friend!"

The inaugural festivities include performances from Alicia Keys,Stevie Wonder Brad Paisley, Marc Anthony, rappers Far East Movement, Nick Cannon, Fun, Usher, John Legend, Soul Children of Chicago and cast members from TV show "Glee."

If you wish to attend the Stoughton Democratic Town Committee inaugural celebration, RSVP to either John Kavin via email (sellmyhouse@usa.net) or by phone 781-344-6748 or fellow SDTC Co-Chair Donna Smith at 781-344-8741.
