My kids were watching the DPW on Marlborough St. The image I remember most--aside from being really cold for several days because the heat was off--is a lonely package of okra in the freezer at the 7-11. evidently Back Bay residents do not eat okra, even in the most dire circumstances.

Thirty five years ago this week, the historic nor'easter known as the "Blizzard of '78"walloped the state of Massachusetts along with much of the Northeast.

While the blizzard actually formed on Sunday, Feb. 5, 1978, most of the snowfall occurred between Feb. 6 and Feb. 7 of that year.

Boston received 27.1 inches of snow, while Providence, Rhode Island received 27.6 inches.

About 100 people were killed in the Northeast from the storm, while around 4,500 were injured. Moreover, the blizzard caused more than $520 million in damage.

But now, 35 years later, we're wondering what you remember from the infamous storm. Readers can view a documentary regarding the storm on YouTube.

What do you remember from the Blizzard of '78? Do you have any special stories, memories and/or photos to share? You can upload your photos directly to this article by clicking the "Upload Photos and Videos" button to share with us your memories and stories.
