1. Board of Selectmen Meeting
The Stoughton Board of Selectmen are scheduled to hold a special meeting Monday, March 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Yaitanes Room on the third floor of the Town Hall.
Selectmen will be discussing possibly moving the local town election, scheduled for April 9, 2013, to April 30, the same day as the primary for the special U.S. Senate election to fill the seat held by now Secretary of State John Kerry.

The Selectmen are also slated to vote on Statements of Interest for the potential replacement of Stoughton High School and the South Elementary School.
Selectmen put off a vote on these SOIs at their last meeting on March 5, wanting to see the edits they suggested made to each document before approving it.
Filing a SOI with the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) is just the first step in a lengthy process for replacing or renovating a school. Stoughton submitted SOIs for these same two schools last year, but neither were accepted by the MSBA last cycle.
The Stoughton School Committee already voted to refile these SOIs at its March 5 meeting.
Both the School Committee and the Board of Selectmen voted to approve SOIs for the replacement of windows at the Hansen and Dawe Elementary Schools and replacement of the roof at the West Elementary School at separate meetings held March 5.
